Duane Allman
Howard Duane Allman was the founder and leader of the Allman Brothers Band, a band that allowed him to play with his brother, Gregg Allman. Duane was fatally killed in a motorcycle crash that smashed his internal organs. He was just 24 years old when he died. He was well-known for his expressive slide guitar playing and improvisational skill on the instrument. “Live at the Fillmore East” by the Allman Brothers is widely regarded as one of the best live rock albums ever made.
