Shirt Loops
The purpose of the loops on shirts is unknown. This is a practice that began in the Navy, according to reports. Of course, on ships and boats, there isn’t a lot of closet space, which is understandable. Sailors used hooks and nails to fasten their garments instead of buttons. Back in the day, college students used to do the exact same thing at the gym!

Colored Toothpaste Squares

This type of marking is referred to as “eye marks,” and it’s important because assembly-line machines use them as cues to cut and fold the package correctly.
