Despite their lawless image, the Hells Angels are no strangers to community work. Many charters actively participate in humanitarian endeavors, with the goal of fostering bonds outside of the motorcycle community. They organize charity rides and frequently invite non-members to participate, and their annual Toys-for-Tots campaign provides gifts to youngsters in need. In one remarkable deed, they donated 200 bicycles to the Poverello House, a non-profit organization that helps the homeless. Nonetheless, their reputation precedes them, and their motto best expresses it: “When we do properly, no one remembers. When we make mistakes, no one forgets.”
