Gilbert’s 17th Street Grill in Fort Lauderdale is one of those hidden gems, a small family-run restaurant where the mom operates the counter and the son runs the grill. Aside from burgers, they also provide homemade ribs, wings, soups, salads, and desserts. Gilbert’s specialties, however, are their burgers – “The Hottest” Burger, cooked with handmade spicy sauce and ghost pepper, or the Havarti Bacon Burger, served on a toasted buttered English muffin.
