Captain Reynolds’ brow creased in confusion. If the bear wasn’t hungry, then what was it trying to communicate? The uncertainty gnawed at him; he genuinely wanted to help the magnificent creature, but he wasn’t reckless. As much as his instincts urged him to do more, he knew better than to get too close—he didn’t have a death wish.
